When Life Rearranges Your Space (And Your Heart)

A personal reflection on trusting the process — how giving up my workspace for my daughter led to an unexpected gift and a reminder that everything happens for us, not to us.

When Life Rearranges Your Space (And Your Heart)
Hey friends,
You know how sometimes life throws you a curveball, and you think it's a loss — but then it turns into something unexpectedly beautiful? That happened to me recently.
My eldest daughter has been struggling with focus. Her original study corner just wasn't working anymore. My wife and I realised it had become a "play zone" in her mind — too many distracting memories tied to that spot. The brain is funny like that, right?
So we made a decision: I'd give up my workspace for her.

Honestly? It stung a little. That was my only work corner at home. But something in me said yes almost immediately.
I've been practicing this belief: everything that happens is happening for me, not to me.
I'm not the result of circumstances. I'm the cause.
So I chose to trust.

And then, as if the universe heard me — my parents moved to a new place. My mum's new room? Available for me to use during the day.
No stress. No hunting for co-working spaces. Just... provided.
That's the thing about trusting the process. When you let go, space opens up — literally and figuratively.

Now it's 2026. A fresh start.
I keep reminding myself: the present moment is where all the magic happens. Not yesterday. Not next week. Right here, right now.
Every moment is a chance to choose who I want to become.

Here's to trusting the journey — even when it asks you to give something up first.
Wishing you all a year of beautiful surprises. 🌱
