Have you ever heard the phrase, "Everything happens for its own perfection"?
You might agree with it intellectually, but can you actually feel it in your reality? Whether you believe in a higher power, the universe, or the interconnectedness of all things, this wisdom appears across spiritual traditions. Yet for the longest time, I struggled to truly experience it—to let it move from my head to my heart.
The Business That "Failed"
From a conventional business perspective, my company has been anything but successful. We haven't even achieved the most basic milestone: consistent revenue. When I look at the future through a traditional lens, there's a long list of things we haven't accomplished yet.
But here's what changed: when I look back from where we started to where we are now, I can see with absolute clarity that everything that happened was perfect—just not in the direction I expected. In fact, the direction we ended up taking is far better than anything I could have planned.
Three or four years ago, I partnered with a friend who opened my eyes to new possibilities. He took the lead; I supported him. Eventually, for various reasons, we peacefully ended our collaboration. I was disappointed. Yet I'm deeply grateful for what he taught me.
After that, I started a new direction on my own. I attended workshops, tried to clarify my vision, but nothing seemed to gain traction. The risks I was taking felt enormous. During those uncertain, breathless moments when I didn't know what to do next, two friends joined me.
Looking back now, every step that felt like failure at the time was actually building the foundation for where we are today. Sometimes I wasn't ready. Sometimes my partners weren't ready. But today—the combination of people, the alignment of values, the clarity of vision—everything is complete and perfect.
The Mindset Shift That Changed Everything
I learned to change my perspective. I recognized that right now is already the best possible state.
This wasn't about hoping for a better future. It was about understanding that our present state—with all its challenges and uncertainty—is actually perfect for innovation and creation. The company and each of us as individuals are evolving together, naturally moving toward an even more perfect state. I don't need to worry about that. Instead, I feel gratitude for everything we have now, for every event that unfolds.
Does this mean we're just lying flat, giving up ambition? Not at all.
If anything, I'm more active than before. I create with complete freedom, unburdened by attachment. I put my intentions into the world purely, without clinging to specific outcomes. I don't fixate on a single result anymore.
With this awareness, I'm calmer. I live more fully in the present moment. I'm braver in pursuing pure creation.
An Invitation to See Your Own Perfection
I invite you to look at your current life. Can you see its perfection?
Maybe your career isn't where you thought it would be. Perhaps a relationship ended differently than you hoped. Maybe you're facing challenges that feel overwhelming right now.
But what if those apparent setbacks were actually setting you up for something you couldn't have imagined? What if the timing of everything—the delays, the closed doors, the unexpected turns—was orchestrating something more aligned with who you're becoming?
As I was writing this piece, I remembered an experience from last Friday that carried the same message. That story deserves its own sharing another time.
